What if the key to a more aligned, calmer, happier life lay in our ability to know ourselves?

In a society that constantly pushes us outwards - towards performance, expectations and appearances - it's vital to relearn how to turn inwards. Self-awareness is much more than a personal development concept: it's the foundation of our balance, our inner freedom, and our way of being in the world. It is the starting point for a more equitable relationship with ourselves... and with others.

"Everything begins with self-awareness", said Carl Gustav Jung.
The idea behind this sentence is that we can only change what we are aware of.

And that's already opening up a whole new world.

Self-awareness, the basis of all transformation

Consciousness is the incredible ability we have to perceive, identify and reflect on our own existence. It is the mirror of what we feel and understand about ourselves, others and the world around us. It enables us to step back from our experiences and understand reality more clearly. And above all, it is through the power of consciousness that we are able to act on our own being, to improve and transform ourselves profoundly. It is consciousness that enables us to take control of our destiny and evolve towards the best version of ourselves.

And the voice is one of the most wonderful expressions of this!

Our voice carries traces of our emotions, our history and our sometimes unconscious beliefs. It both reflects and reveals our inner world.

Stopping to listen to yourself

"Life is a universal experience that never happens the way you want it to, or the way you expect it to. - Edith Eger

In the face of such unpredictability, cultivating self-awareness becomes a form of wisdom. Because it's by taking the time to stop that we can hear what's really inside us. Voices, like dreams, are expressions of the unconscious. When we grasp them, we can bring them to consciousness and change something.

That's what I love so much about my job: learning to listen to ourselves, just as we are.

No need for theoretical concepts or external tools, just take the time to stop and listen, to listen to yourself. Observe what is there and, if you wish, transform, metamorphose and nourish it.

From introspection to the joy of being

I like to remind you that it's not a question of de-naturing yourself, far from it, but rather of "re-naturing" yourself. Re-connecting with what you do naturally: singing, moving, being joyful, marvelling in voice and silence, reconnecting with others and the world.

It's about getting back in touch with who you are, it's about BEING better when you no longer know what to DO.

So self-awareness is not a quest for perfection, but a path to authenticity.

And this path begins with self-observation. It is the key to awareness, to quality introspection. I'm convinced (and I'm not the only one) that introspection is a prerequisite for happiness. On the one hand, it allows us to be aware of our needs, to understand ourselves better, to learn to accept ourselves - with our qualities and our pitfalls - and to love ourselves, sincerely.

Self-awareness that opens up to others

Taking care of ourselves, cultivating our self-presence and nurturing our inner well-being is not selfish: on the contrary, it's a profoundly relational act. Because the more at peace I am with myself, the better I can relate to others.

Self-awareness enables us to accept our own limitations with compassion, and by mirror effect, to accept those of others with greater tolerance. It makes relationships more fluid, more genuine, more human.

It defuses many conflicts, helping us to respond rather than react, to listen rather than judge. In this sense, it is a powerful lever for harmony, in our close circles and in society as a whole.

Conclusion: a worthwhile trip

Developing self-awareness means embarking on a demanding but enlightening path. It's a path of authenticity, inner freedom and deep listening. It means learning to make peace with who we are, and to radiate from that place.

And what if that's what true happiness is all about: getting to know each other, loving each other, and contributing to the world from that space?

And isn't the voice the best way of expressing and connecting us?
